Lots of hard surfaces make it difficult to hear when your name is called at the counter. One drawback to Maple Street is the noise level. We enjoyed the house-made B² jam and pepper jelly. Maybe next time I'll just slather them in lots of butter first. However, those biscuits won't get soggy with all the gravy and sauces you pile on them. The half-dozen box we got to take home were a bit dry and crispy on the outside. Ironically, the plain biscuits were my least favorite part of our meals at Maple Street Biscuit Co. Get your biscuits to go by the half-dozen, dozen or just one served with your choice of house-made jam or jelly: B² jam (blackberry and blueberry), apple butter or pepper jelly.

Other new menu items you can only find in Murfreesboro include the Bacon, Bacon, Bacon with - you guessed it, lots of bacon stacked on a biscuit, and the Veggie Goat biscuit topped with fried green tomatoes and pepper jelly.Įven children can get in on the goodness with a scrambled egg and biscuit served with jelly, a chicken and biscuit, chicken dinner or chocolate-chip waffle. The Three Layer Cake is a fried hashbrown stack mixed with smoked gouda cheese and topped with green onions and a fried egg, then topped with house-made sausage gravy with a kick, or substitute house-made shiitake mushroom gravy. Three-layer Cake: They had me at cake, but this isn't your Betty Crocker version. All these flavors were perfectly blended together. It was very creamy and the cheese was mild, making it perfect for picky kiddos, too. The waffle was sweet enough to balance the goodness baked into it. The gravy has the perfect amount of kick with some onions the crowning achievement on this hearty dish. The chicken was juicy with a crispy outside.Ĭomfort and Joy: Next we tried the Comfort and Joy waffle, made with Asiago cheese, pecan wood smoked bacon and green onions baked in, then topped with Smoky Mountain macaroni and cheese, bacon crumbles and green onions. The corned beef sweetness paired with the hearty potatoes and sauces made every bite heavenly.įive and Dime: The Five and Dime is a flaky biscuit topped with a crispy fried chicken breast, pecan wood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and a fried egg mounded with house-made sausage gravy. This is one of the best dishes I've ever eaten, anywhere. Hotchpotch: One of the new dishes only served in Murfreesboro is the Hotchpotch, featuring a corned beef brisket hash with house-made horseradish sauce and topped with a sunny side-up egg and hollandaise. You'll also find some "adult drinks" like Maple Street's version of a mimosa as well as a bloody Mary made with sake wine garnished with bacon. I tried one of the specialty drinks: the maple vanilla bean latte made with espresso, steamed milk, Bissell Family Farm’s real maple syrup and vanilla bean. There are several flavors to choose from and all the fixin's. Iced and hot coffee drinks made with the company's signature roast round out the menu. Start your meal off with a cup of bottomless coffee.
